What is TwinREV?

TwinREV is a digital platform developed by NTUA with the support of RWTH and INESCTEC to monitor, forecast and optimize local energy flows for Energy Communities by integrating a suite of tools, services and simulation engines. Furthemore, it provides grid operators with insights and simulations that facilitate optimal energy decision-making.

Powered by cloud computing, machine learning, real-time power flow simulations and flexibility indicators, Twin Rev transforms energy data into actionable recommendations. Explore more in the sections below.

Dynamic Grid Simulation Environments

Enables real-time simulation and optimization of grid performance, offering congestion visualization, and power flow dynamics for reliable operations.

Advanced Forecasting Capabilities

Utilizes Transformer-based architectures to forecast the total energy consumption and renewable generation (wind, solar, biomass, etc.) of the grid and optimize grid balancing and resource allocation.
